Been three months since I smacked my thumb and it is almost all grown back

So it's prime time here at Panera and this mom and her kid decide to take up a table meant for eight people for just the two of them. Nice.

I took some of the homemade gingerbread marshmallows and dipped them in chocolate the other night...

Dinner tonight was some chicken that I baked using my own "shake n bake" type coating made from ground quinoa and corn meal along with some farro I cooked up and added to some shredded carrot and purple kale

With my new phone, I decided to check out the Square app so when I start doing stuff with my coaching business I can take credit card payments - so of course I also ordered the free "dongle" that plugs in to the headphone jack and lets you swipe cards. Knowing me though, I can see losing the damn thing really easy... 

But I had an idea - I saw a headphone splitter at the dollar store, picked that up, cut one of the plugs off, drilled a hole and put it on a key ring I had. I can clip it to my keychain, my pack or whatever.

 

in this day and age, do we really need our grocery stores to be giving kids free cookies?

Ok, they didn't turn out exactly as i envisioned, but I made some "window covers" using polar fleece. The primary goal right now is to keep the cold out. I still have ideas for eventually making them like roman blinds/shades/whatever. Especially the two outter panels so come summer I can raise them a bit for the open windows.

I have a feeling tho these will stay put for the winter and maybe re-do something better come spring or something.
